At the 20th Druck&Medien Awards at the Grand Hyatt Berlin, Sattler Media Group was awarded silver in the “Most Innovative Company of the Year” category as part of the HP Awards. This was awarded in a category with four other nominees. The decisive factor for the award was our “co-innovation” approach. Sattler Media Group was the world’s only customer of digital printing partner Ricoh to gain an early insight into a new high-speed inkjet platform and actively contributed to its development through intensive exchange. In 2023, the first example of the ultra-modern Pro VC80000 system was installed for an exclusive beta test in close collaboration – a project that focuses on automation, performance and flexibility at the highest level while guaranteeing outstanding print quality.
However, the project was much more than the introduction of a new printing system: it was an international undertaking that brought together experts from three continents and over 13 countries to develop a fully integrated production system. A complex slitting and stacking line with dynamic perforation from Hunkeler was integrated under the guiding principle “From the unprinted roll to the finished product”. With additional components such as reel splicers and a remoistening system from Contiweb, we have succeeded in creating a production process that is unique in the industry and sets new standards.
Sattler consistently goes its own way in its innovation projects and does not just rely on standard market solutions. We identify trends at an early stage and actively contribute to the development of new technologies as a driving force. This approach is based on a strong network and strategic partnerships – such as our role as chair of Ricoh’s customer advisory board. Through such collaborations, we join forces in the industry and advocate future-oriented solutions that offer our customers maximum benefits. Thanks to this innovative strength, our customers today benefit from a completely new dimension in digital printing, characterized by technical excellence and tailor-made solutions.
