Bad Oeynhausen / Hildesheim, March 5, 2026 – Sattler Media is further expanding its high-speed inkjet capacities and investing in a third Ricoh Pro VC80000. Following the installation of the world’s first machine of this type in 2024 and a second system last spring, the company is continuing the systematic expansion of its inkjet production at the Hildesheim and Bad Oeynhausen sites. High-speed inkjet printing will thus become a central component of Sattler Media’s industrial print production at both sites.
As one of Europe’s leading print and media service providers in the fields of commercial printing, direct mail, omnichannel marketing and logistics, Sattler Media is continuously driving forward the automation of its production processes. With the expansion of inkjet technology and the development of new applications, the company is increasingly focusing on artificial intelligence, automation and high productivity.
The aim is to process large parts of mailing production and high-quality individualized print products via the new production line in the future. Compared to traditional offset processes, high-speed inkjet printing offers significant advantages in terms of flexibility, cost-effectiveness and individualization.
Three specialized production lines
With the third Ricoh Pro VC80000, Sattler Media is not only expanding its production capacities, but also creating a particularly versatile industrial production structure. In future, three dedicated production lines will be available, each with different finishing options:
- a line for dialog marketing and direct mailing applications
- a line for saddle-stitched brochures
- a line for perfect bound magazines and catalogs
This combination enables Sattler Media to cover a wide range of applications flexibly and efficiently while ensuring consistently high production quality.
Powerful technology for industrial production
The Ricoh Pro VC80000 achieves a maximum resolution of 1,200 × 1,200 dpi. For Sattler Media, the combination of 1,200 × 600 dpi print resolution and a maximum speed of 150 meters per minute is particularly important. This means that the system works around 50 percent faster than the previous generation.
In addition, an extensive software portfolio supports the automation of production processes. Solutions such as Ricoh TotalFlow BatchBuilder optimize production planning and quality control, while Ricoh Predictive Insight provides important operational data to analyze utilization, productivity and profitability.
By using artificial intelligence and machine learning, the Ricoh Pro VC80000 can detect and automatically correct deviations in print quality in real time. This ensures consistently high print quality while reducing waste.
