The Sattler Group is further expanding its portfolio: On June 1, 2025, the print service provider took over all assets and the business operations of Kunst- und Werbedruck Hinrich H. Leonhardt Günter Wedekind GmbH & Co KG. The transaction was notarized on 2 June 2025. The seller was the insolvency administrator, lawyer and tax consultant Martin Schmidt.
The long-established printing company based in Bad Oeynhausen will continue to operate under the name K+W Kunst- und Werbedruck GmbH and will continue to operate as an independent, wholly-owned subsidiary of Sattler Media GmbH. What is special about the takeover is that the entire site will be retained – as will almost all jobs. The previous managing directors, Stefan Belte and Frank Pieper, will also remain with the company and continue to run it in the same proven manner.

“Preserving the brand essence of K+W was a conscious decision for us,” explains Martin Koschei, Managing Partner of the Sattler Group. “We not only want to preserve the long-standing expertise that has grown there over decades, but also integrate it into our overall offering in a meaningful way.” For existing customers, this means that the usual services will be retained – while at the same time opening up access to the Sattler Group’s expanded portfolio, for example in the areas of advertising inserts, commercial printing, dialog marketing and logistics.

With around 800 employees at seven production sites, the Sattler Group is now one of the largest print service providers in Germany. The company produces using state-of-the-art web and sheet-fed offset as well as high-speed digital printing and has positioned itself as an economically stable innovation driver in the industry in recent years.
The takeover of the insolvent art and advertising print shop is part of a long-term strategy: “We are focusing on synergies – and on people who know their trade. The local employees bring with them exactly what we at Sattler particularly value: Experience, quality and commitment,” says Martin Koschei.

With K+W Kunst- und Werbedruck GmbH, the Sattler Group is expanding its presence in East Westphalia: In addition to Sattler Premium Print, K+W is already the second Sattler location in Bad Oeynhausen.
