Responsibility

Your printing and mailing partner for innovative marketing solutions

As a company operating throughout Europe in the print media sector, we are committed to producing in harmony with the environment. Environmental protection is a common part of our corporate culture, which Team Sattler actively and naturally helps to shape. We fulfill this obligation by making active environmental protection one of our corporate goals.

Our working environment

Our commitment to a safe and environmentally friendly working environment

In our printing plant, we rely on state-of-the-art technologies and strict safety standards to protect both the environment and the health of our employees. We minimize alcohol exposure during printing by using precise unisensor measuring devices and reduce noise pollution in the production area through central air supply and encapsulated compressors.

Our Group A detergents with hazard class AIII offer additional protection, while we ensure environmentally friendly disposal by consistently separating and recycling consumables. Acting responsibly is our top priority.

Isopropyl alcohol

To keep the alcohol exposure required for printing as low as possible, we only print with the lowest possible alcohol concentration. This is ensured by the use of modern Unisensor measuring devices that precisely control the alcohol dosage.

Our machines are always operated with a central air supply, which is installed in a separate room. This greatly reduces noise pollution in the production area.
Where this is not possible, the compressors required for the air supply are encapsulated or installed in special air supply cabinets.

When purchasing our consumables, we generally pay attention to the subsequent disposal of the delivery containers. Where possible, we use large, recyclable containers. All used materials and empty containers are pre-sorted and fed into the recycling cycle via a certified disposal company.

We only use group A detergents with hazard class AIII. This means that both the environment is protected by a water-insoluble composition and the individual employee is protected by the high flash point.

Certificates

Our certificates in the area of environment & responsibility

The Blue Angel is an environmental label awarded in Germany since 1978 for particularly environmentally friendly products and services. The label guarantees that our print products meet the high standards for environmental and health properties. Process optimization can reduce energy consumption, paper waste and air and water emissions during the printing process. Printed products with the Blue Angel are therefore a more environmentally friendly alternative to conventional printed products on the market.

In 2012, we were awarded the ISO 50001 energy management system (EMS) certificate for the first time. Energy management includes the planning and operation of energy generation and consumption units. The aim of energy management is to systematically increase energy efficiency. This goes hand in hand with resource conservation, climate protection and cost reduction. We are constantly working to improve our system within the framework of ISO 50001. The EMS is monitored by our certification partner, DNV-GL, in regular audits.

We have introduced certification in accordance with the FSC®-CoC standard into our internal processes. By using FSC®-certified paper, we support improved forest management worldwide. The wood for FSC®-certified paper comes from responsible forestry. This is regularly reviewed and must be environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically viable.

We at Sattler Media Group are actively working to minimize the greenhouse gas emissions caused by our business activities. As much as we pursue this goal, emissions cannot be completely prevented. Our customers can make a contribution to climate protection if they wish. We calculate the emissions caused by the product and have CO2 certificates set aside based on the calculated amount of CO2. In a narrower sense, a CO2 certificate is a data record that is stored in a special, publicly accessible database. A CO2 certificate proves that a specific climate protection project certified according to clear criteria has reduced CO2 emissions or stored carbon for the long term and thus removed it from the atmosphere. One certificate corresponds to one ton of CO2 equivalent. Our customers can choose from high-quality, certified climate protection projects that actively reduce CO2 emissions or bind CO2 from the atmosphere.

The EU Ecolabel is an EU ecolabel recognized in all EU Member States as well as in Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland. Introduced in 1992 by an EU regulation, the voluntary label has gradually developed into a reference for consumers who want to contribute to reducing environmental pollution by purchasing more environmentally friendly products and services. The label is awarded to products and services that have a lower environmental impact than comparable products. The EU Ecolabel is intended to enable consumers to identify more environmentally friendly and healthier products.
